Czechoslovakian-born British actress.  At the the outbreak of World War II she was sent, along with her husband Alexander (Sasha) Munk, to Theresienstadt concentration camp and they were subsequently transferred to Auschwitz where they became separated. She later found out that her husband had died. Pravda recorded her experiences in a diary which was published in 2000 as I Was Writing This Diary For You, Sasha.
She returned to Prague where she met the actor George Pravda.   The couple emigrated to the United Kingdom where they continued their acting careers.  Her most well-known role was as Emma Cohen in the 1970s television drama Survivors
