Iranian poet, writer, translator, and journalist whose initial poetry was influenced by and in the tradition of Nima Youshij. He used traditional imagery in his poetry which was familiar to his Iranian audience through the works of Persian masters like Hafiz and Omar Khayyám. He found fame with his third collection of poetry, Fresh Air (هوای تازه‎‎), published in 1957.
